Golf in Batam: Courses, Green Fees and Weekend Packages from Singapore

Batam’s golf courses sit 20 km off Singapore’s south coast, reachable by fast ferry from HarbourFront Centre or Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, and travel sources describe lower green fees than in Singapore. Weekends are busy, so weekday play is the better option if you have a choice.

Getting to the courses

Batam is 20 km off Singapore’s south coast. Pinnacle Travel describes a 45-minute ferry ride, with hourly crossings connecting two ports in Singapore to four ports in Batam. Batam’s time zone is GMT+7, one hour behind Singapore.

Nongsa packages arrive at Nongsapura Ferry Terminal for Palm Springs Golf & Country Club and Tering Bay Golf & Country Club. Sekupang packages cover Indah Puri Golf Resort and SouthLinks Country Club, with express immigration clearance at Sekupang Ferry Terminal only. Traveloka places Batam Hills Golf Resort at Indah Puri in Sekupang. The sources used here do not give terminal-to-course distances for every course, so confirm transfers with the operator.

Courses in Nongsa

Palm Springs Golf & Country Club is at Jl. Hang Lekiu, Nongsa, Batam. Golfsavers describes three 9-hole courses — Resort, Palm and Island — with sloping fairways and water hazards; the Palm course runs near mangrove swamps and forested areas, the Resort course is hillier, and the Island course is the easiest, with wider fairways and forgiving greens. An attractive Balinese-style clubhouse overlooks the beach. Traveloka lists Larry Nelson and IMG as designers and highlights 27 holes, palm trees, water features and sea panoramas. Pinnacle Travel calls Palm Springs a challenging 27-hole course often regarded as the best course in Batam, with views of Nongsa Beach and the Singapore skyline.

Tering Bay Golf & Country Club is on the same Nongsa road. Golfsavers credits Greg Norman with an 18-hole, par-72 layout in immaculate condition, winding through rolling hills, tropical vegetation and tranquil lakes. Traveloka describes an 18-hole championship course with rolling hills, water hazards and fairways overlooking Nongsa’s bay; it challenges advanced players with tricky bunkers and wind but stays playable for casual golfers thanks to wide fairways and forgiving greens. Pinnacle Travel calls it a beautiful, challenging par-72 course amid rolling hills, pristine lakes and lush greenery, with ocean views.

Courses in Sekupang

Indah Puri Golf Resort was designed by Ronald Fream. Golfsavers notes that it runs beside the beach before heading inland through lakes and bunkers, with views from the elevated clubhouse. Pinnacle Travel describes a pleasant, picturesque and challenging parkland course in Sekupang, ringed by blue water, with sea breezes, an ocean backdrop and views of the Singapore skyline.

SouthLinks Country Club is at Jalan Gajah Mada KM 9, Sekupang. Golfsavers calls it a classic parkland course designed by Hisamitsu Ohnishi, with water carries and playability for golfers of all standards. Pinnacle Travel describes an 18-hole, par-72 championship course spanning 6,308 metres. Traveloka adds panoramic views, strategic bunkering, a lush landscape and Japanese-influenced hospitality.

Batam Hills Golf Resort, at Indah Puri in Sekupang, was formerly Paradise Bay and has been transformed since new owners took over in 2006, according to Golfsavers. Traveloka names Max Wexler as designer and says the course is accessible and popular with Singaporean golfers, with gently undulating fairways, scenic water features and friendly caddies.

Green fees and package rates

Deemples lists these green-fee ranges for Batam, prices updated 3 Nov 2026. All listed rates include buggy and caddy unless noted; weekend and public holiday rates require a minimum of two players. Add-ons and prices may vary by tee time.

Batam Hills also lists senior and ladies rates of MYR 232 on weekdays and MYR 332 at weekends. Rates are listed in Malaysian ringgit on Deemples; no exchange rate is provided in the sources used here, so compare only after checking the current rate.
